بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

My name is Saiqa. I'm raising money this Ramadan with Human Concern International to build wells in communities that lack access to clean water. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. Join me this Ramadan in an effort to build water wells and gain the rewards of giving the best kind of charity in the best month of the year. 

Importance of Water

The same thing that provides our lives with comfort is limiting the quality of life for millions around the world — water. 

Each year, 443 million school days are lost from water-related challenges and illnesses. Dirty drinking water kills 1000 children each day through diarrhea, typhoid, cholera, dysentery and other water-borne illnesses. That means more people die every year… Lack of access to clean drinking water means a less prosperous community. 

It’s impossible to overstate the importance of clean drinking water. Access to clean water keeps children in school, prevents early death, and reduces poverty by enabling communities to build economy and agriculture for trade and sustenance. 

Human Concern International is on the ground in the most drought-stricken areas of the world to provide vulnerable communities with access to clean drinking water. 

Seeing a world where every man, woman, and child has access to clean drinking water is a goal for Human Concern International. 

I hope that you can join us on this journey to build a well and provide access to clean drinking water to those in need in countries like Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and on the African continent.

The Fight Against Thirst

Men, women, and children all across South East Asia, Africa, and the Middle East suffer from a lack of access to clean drinking water. Human Concern International is building water wells across continents to provide fresh, clean drinking water for residents of vulnerable communities.

In Islam, the reward of the person who provides water to the poor, the needy, and the thirsty is immense. ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

Your donation means that someone will have easily accessible drinking water for years to come.

Build a Well in Someone's Name

You have the option of building a well in honor of anyone you’d like with a donation of $1500 CAD. You will receive a certificate, a report and photos of the plaque with their names on it when the well is completed.

If you wish to have a name on a plaque, please forward your receipt for a full well to Info@humanconcern.org and cc hassan@humanconcern.org.  In that email please include the below.

Name, email, number, country to build in and name/s on the plaque. Wells are expected to be built within 6 months upon submission of details through email.
